WOW #5- Chico's Bold vs. Old Campaign

WOW #5- Chico's Bold vs. Old Campaign

Overview In our modern world, there have been so many strides made for women. Women are empowered to look beautiful for themselves, and not for other people, embrace their bodies and imperfections and overall just love ourselves more! However some social stigmas are tough to break through, even in progressive times, and our reality is that women are still supposed to be "attractive". So often being attractive is still correlated to looking young, and being young. So what do y

WOW #4- Cupcake's Modern Wine Consumer

Overview When you think of wine, what images pop in your head? A gray haired man taking a big ol' sniff of a pretentious glass of wine? It's someone talking about the wine's "oaky notes" or how their wine has "legs" right? Wine has historically been a luxurious item, but for "reasonably-priced" wines like Cupcake, this isn't their reality. Their consumers are grabbing an entire bottle for themselves, using their wine to celebrate the smaller victories rather than large accomp

In the past, snapchat users would have all of their friends and chats listed on the left side of the applications, and their snapchat stories seperate, on the right side of the app. This general structure has outlived many of snapchat's updates, and had been an integral part in how users lived their everyday life. That's when eve

“Which cultural themes or trends were evident in this year’s Super Bowl advertising?”

By far the biggest trend I noticed this year was celebrity endorsement across the board. From Danny Devito incarnation as an M&M, to Morgan Freeman + Peter Dinklage rap battling it out for Mountain Dew & Doritos, celebrities were the stars of the super bowl. This year none of the ads were particularly interesting or engaging but all of them were fun. Next to celebrity endorsement, comedy was the biggest theme in this year's Super Bowl advertisements, which is hardly news. Eve
WOW #2- The Whopper taught me about Net Neutrality

WOW #2- The Whopper taught me about Net Neutrality

Overview It's not often that I feel like an advertisement was actually engaging, educational, and well created, but Burger King managed to do it with this Net Neutrality PSA. As I'm sure many of us know, Net Neutrality was recently repealed. But do we know exactly what that means? I've seen a few explanation videos featuring men in glasses talking at me, and I understood what they were saying. However, I still felt removed from the situation in which the internet wouldn't be
